Give It Up Day

Throughout the Gospels, Jesus instructs us to care for one another out of love for Him. The Golden Rule, the second greatest commandment, and the example of Christ Himself drive this very point home: we are meant to serve one another. Catholic tradition gives us a beautiful roadmap of how to do this in the Corporal Works of Mercy. The Corporal Works of Mercy are feed the hungry, give drink the thirsty, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, visit the sick, visit the prisoner, and bury the dead.

Each year, a class decides upon a Work of Mercy and then plans how they can carryout this work.
