Safeguarding

St Cuthbert’s Catholic Nursery and Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and well-being of its pupils.

Safeguarding is a top priority and is everyone's responsibility.  All school staff have Level 1 Safeguarding Training annually and we have a team of staff who are trained to Level 3.

The Designated Safeguarding Leads/Safeguarding Team in this school are:

  • Ann Marie Handford - DSL / Headteacher
  • Lynne Robinson - Deputy DLS / Teacher
  • Paul Clarke - Deputy DSL / Teacher

John Regan is the governor with responsibility for Safeguarding - he can be contacted via the school office.

If you think a child is at immediate risk of harm, you must call the police urgently on 999.

You can ring the Cumberland Safeguarding Hub on 0333 240 1727 to seek advice or speak to a social worker to report a concern.

There is further information about Safeguarding below, but if you have any other questions, please ask a member of staff.
